Our Missions

정화재단은 국내뿐 아니라 국제적인 활동 영역을 넓혀, 한국은 물론 아프리카 케냐, 니카라과, 과테말라, 캄보디아 등 여러 나라에서 장학사업을 활발히 진행하고 있습니다. 해외 지부를 통해 각 지역의 유망한 학생들을 선발해 장학금을 수여하고 있으며, 이를 통해 경제적 어려움 속에서도 배움의 기회를 이어갈 수 있도록 돕고 있습니다. 해외사업은 강영창 MD 박사님이 총괄하여 운영하며, 지역 맞춤형 지원을 통해 보다 실질적인 변화를 만들어 가고 있습니다.

Our mission extends beyond national boundaries. With overseas branches and programs operating in South Korea, Kenya, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cambodia, and other regions, we strive to create a global network of support. Through our international scholarship program, we identify and sponsor outstanding students who face financial hardship, empowering them to pursue their education and dreams. These initiatives are overseen by Dr. Young-Chang Kang, MD, who directs our overseas efforts with dedication and expertise, ensuring that our programs make a meaningful impact across different cultural and regional contexts.

정화재단의 주요 활동은 기부를 통한 자금 모금으로 이루어지며, 이렇게 모인 재원은 홀부모 가정의 자녀, 청소년들을 위한 교육·보건·문화 지원 프로그램에 사용됩니다. 아이들이 꿈을 이어가고, 청소년들이 건강한 사회 구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 다각적인 지원을 아끼지 않고 있습니다. 또한 문화적 접근성을 높여 더 많은 이들이 풍요로운 삶을 누릴 수 있도록 다양한 문화 프로그램을 마련하고 있습니다.

The Foundation’s work is made possible through the generosity of donors. Contributions are carefully directed toward programs that support children of single-parent families and young people in critical areas such as education, health, and cultural enrichment. By addressing these fundamental needs, we help nurture the next generation to become healthy, confident, and active members of society. In addition, we continue to broaden cultural opportunities, ensuring that young people are not only provided for but also inspired to thrive.

지역사회와의 협력 또한 정화재단의 중요한 축입니다. 각 지역 주민, 기관, 단체들과의 파트너십을 통해 지속가능한 발전을 위한 공동 프로젝트를 추진하고 있으며, 단발적인 지원을 넘어 장기적으로 지역사회가 자생력을 갖추도록 돕고 있습니다. 이를 통해 도움을 받는 이들이 다시 사회에 긍정적인 영향을 돌려줄 수 있는 선순환 구조를 만들어가고 있습니다.

정화재단은 지난 20여 년간 끊임없는 노력과 헌신으로 수많은 사람들의 삶에 작은 변화를 일으켜 왔습니다. 그러나 재단의 발걸음은 여기서 멈추지 않습니다. 앞으로도 더 많은 이들이 행복하고 의미 있는 삶을 살아갈 수 있도록 다양한 사회문제 해결에 앞장서며, 나눔과 연대의 가치를 실현해 나갈 것입니다.
