Our Story

현재 정화재단은 한국을 비롯해 케냐, 니카라과 등 해외 지부를 통해 전 세계의 우수한 학생들을 발굴하고 지원하고 있습니다. 해외 업무는 강영창 박사가 총괄하며, 각 지부의 담당자가 장학생을 직접 선발하고 관리하고 있습니다. 또한, 과테말라, 페루, 캄보디아 등지로 지부를 확대하여 더 많은 학생들에게 교육의 기회를 제공할 계획을 적극적으로 추진하고 있습니다.
With established overseas branches in South Korea, Kenya, and Nicaragua, the Foundation identifies and supports outstanding students globally. Each regional office, under the oversight of Dr. Young-Chang Kang, carefully selects scholarship recipients and ensures they are supported throughout their academic journey. Plans are currently underway to expand our reach to Guatemala, Peru, and Cambodia, extending opportunities to even more students around the world.

장학금은 매년 2회(4월, 10월) 지급되며, 특히 한부모 가정의 자녀를 우선적으로 고려하지만, 양부모 가정의 학생들도 지원이 가능합니다. 초등학생부터 중·고등학생, 대학생 및 대학원생까지 폭넓은 교육 단계를 아우르는 지원이 이루어집니다.
Scholarships are awarded twice a year, in April and October, with a special focus on children from single-parent families, though students from two-parent households are also eligible. Support is available at every stage of education—from elementary and secondary school to university and graduate studies.

What sets our scholarships apart from many other programs is our distinctive selection philosophy.
